Build Your Own Web Presence at UNC-Asheville

Welcome to Campus Press

What is CampusPress?

CampusPress is a flexible, user-friendly web publishing platform, powered by WordPress, available to all UNCA faculty and students. It gives you the power to create your own websites, blogs, and portfolios—all in one place and using your existing UNCA login.

Getting Started

See our Getting Started page for information about how to request a site and start building a WordPress site.

What Can I Use It For?

CampusPress is the perfect solution for project-based sites and digital initiatives that need their own space. It’s a platform for creativity, collaboration, and showcasing your work.

Faculty can create sites for:

  • Course & Project Sites: Build a central hub for a specific class, including a syllabus, assignments, and a class blog.
  • Research Labs: Create a public-facing site to share your lab’s research, publications, and team members.
  • Digital Humanities: Host a digital collection, interactive map, or scholarly exhibit.
  • Professional Blogs: Share your expertise, post academic insights, and engage with a wider community.

Students can create sites for:

  • ePortfolios: Build a professional digital portfolio to showcase your best work, projects, and resumes for internships or job applications.
  • Class Projects: Collaborate with a group on a website for a final research project or presentation.
  • Student Organizations: Run a site for your club or organization to post news, event calendars, and member resources.
  • Personal Blogs: Document your academic journey, study abroad experiences, or personal research.

How is this different from www.unca.edu?

This is a key distinction.

  • The official UNC Asheville website hosts the university’s official departments, administrative offices, and marketing content. It is managed centrally by the university.
  • Your CampusPress site is a separate, user-managed space that you create and control. It is intended for the project, portfolio, and collaborative work listed above.
  • Please Note:If you are interested in creating a website that is connected to the university website, please contact the Communications and Marketing department.
