About WordPress at UNC Asheville

Wp.unca.edu sites run on WordPress, a widely used and stable content management system. WordPress comes with a variety of plugins and themes, making it a versatile tool for creating and customizing websites.

Wp.unca.edu sites are available by request (see Getting Started). Users must adhere to state and federal regulations, and follow UNC Asheville’s computer use policies. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions page for more information. Wp.unca.edu sites can not be used as a substitute for department sites or Moodle. University users and groups seeking a personal website should use an external website creation tool, such as WordPress.com or Google Sites.

The WordPress at UNC Asheville system is a completely separate system from the UNC Asheville website. If you are interested in creating a website that connects to the university website, please contact the Communications and Marketing department.
